KYC/KYB Verification

Identity verification is required before you can access Xiru’s investment features. This is a regulatory requirement (MICA compliance) for platform security.

Choosing Your Account Type

During onboarding, you select one of three types:

Type	For	Verification
Individual	Personal investors	KYC (Know Your Customer)
Business	Companies and funds	KYB (Know Your Business)
Startup	Early-stage companies	KYB (Know Your Business)

Your selection is saved in the session — if you leave and return, you’ll resume where you stopped. Once one type is approved, you cannot switch to the other.

Individual (KYC) — 4-Step Process

Personal Info — Enter your first name, last name, email, password, and date of birth
Address & Terms — Provide your address (street, city, postal code, country) and accept terms & conditions
Email Verification — Enter the 6-digit PIN sent to your email (30-minute expiry)
Verification Polling — The system checks your status with the verification provider (Sumsub). You’ll see a waiting screen

On approval, you’re automatically redirected to the investment survey.

Business (KYB) Process

Select Business or Startup on the starter type screen
Complete the business verification form with company details
Submit required business documents
Wait for admin review — you’ll be notified when approved

KYB applications are reviewed by the Xiru admin team and may require document uploads.

Verification Status

Not Started	Haven’t begun verification	Start the KYC/KYB form
Pending	Under review	Wait — the page polls automatically
Approved	Passed — continue to survey	You’ll be redirected automatically
Rejected	Didn’t meet requirements	You can retry the verification

Tips for Faster Approval

Provide complete, accurate information — partial submissions cause delays
Ensure your email is accessible for OTP verification
For KYB: have your business registration documents ready before starting
If rejected, carefully review the reason before resubmitting
